Job description
For our department, we are looking for an intern who will assist with various tasks.
As an intern, you will contribute in performing a comprehensive check on available platforms.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Investigation on challenges using AI
- Level of security needed.
- Support in ongoing AI implementation activities.
- Useability for DAF Vehicle Engineering (not only VEE Systems)
- Regular alignment with AI team.
- Provide report and advise on AI for DAF Vehicle Engineering.
Your profile
We are looking for an enthusiastic Bachelor or Master student who is pursuing a degree in fields such as Artificial Intelligence or data science.
But also show interest in vehicle development.
The number of internship days is negotiable.
- You are proficient in Python.
- You have a fundamental understanding of machine learning.
- You understand the fundamentals of Agentic AI.
- You have a basic idea of the available platforms and IDEs for developing AI based agents/tools.
- You possess excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
- You possess excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
Department
The Vehicle Electrics & Electronics Systems department is part of the Product Development organization of DAF Trucks, located in Eindhoven.
Vehicle Electrics & Electronics (VEE) is responsible for the application and development of electric, electronic and mechatronic vehicle systems. The majority of this development is done in close cooperation with system suppliers. There is a growing complexity of systems and a trend towards more detailed functionality specifications.
The VEE Systems team is responsible for the low voltage vehicle systems where the intellectual property is with the supplier. The team consists of an international group of 21 people.
The team is asked to take lead on AI implementation for vehicle engineering activities.
